NGV Triennial

NGV Triennial

If you are looking to explore in air-conditioned comfort this Australia Day long weekend, then I highly recommend a visit to the National Gallery of Victoria [NGV] to view the 'Triennial' exhibition.

"Featuring the work of over 100 artists and designers from 32 countries, the NGV Triennial surveys the world of art and design, across cultures, scales, geographies and perspectives."

It is a free exhibition covering all four levels of the NGV (although most of this exhibition is housed on the ground floor) and features contemporary works from African artists. Make sure you visit the installation by one of my favourite Afro-pop photographers, Hassan Hajjaj, who has converted the gallery cafe into a an amazing Moroccan tea house, complete with a photo area to get a snap of yourself Hassan Hajjaj style.

The NGV Triennial is on in Melbourne until 15 April 2018.
