Handmade in South Africa
The Zulu people are the largest tribal group of South Africa. Isicholo is the Zulu word for married woman's headdress and is traditionally worn by Zulu women to indicate their married status.

Creation
A tightly woven grass basket forms the shape of the hat. Cotton cloth is stretched over the basket and finished with wool stitching in a circular pattern.

About
